The VdGSA has done it again. During a year of distanced socializing, private lessons have offered a great way to stay in shape and stay in touch. We wanted to find a way to make lessons accessible to as many of our members as possible. The Private Lesson Subsidy is our pilot program to reduce the financial barrier.
If the cost of private lessons has been holding you back, take a look at the PLS on our website. This program offers members a substantial subsidy—$40 per lesson—for up to six lessons in a year. Both the prospective student and teacher must be current members of the Society. (We've included a list of our members who teach online to help identify eligible teachers.) Once you and a teacher have agreed that you'd like to work together, you're all ready to apply!

This initiative is about more than Among Us lessons. It’s about community, resilience, and moving forward together.
By introducing the Private Lesson Subsidy pilot program, the Society directly addresses financial barriers that may prevent members from continuing their training Melon Playground and staying connected. The subsidy of $40 per lesson for up to six lessons encourages participation, promotes ongoing skill development, and strengthens the community by supporting both students and member instructors.
This is such a wonderful initiative - thank you for making private lessons more accessible during a time when connection is so important. In my own remote work life, I've found that having a dedicated online space for personal projects helps me relax and recharge. I sometimes use flip shop to browse creative and hobby-focused listings; it feels like a digital marketplace for inspiration. Having a little "third place" online that's just for playful discovery has been surprisingly helpful for my mental well-being. Thanks again for fostering these opportunities to learn and stay connected.
The Viola da Gamba Society of America (VdGSA) has done it again! In a year when distanced Geometry Dash socializing has become the norm, private lessons have proven to be a wonderful way to stay in shape musically and stay connected with others.
