Hebbert 2001: 3-piece table, 2-piece back, double purfling, new neck, head, fingerboard, and tailpiece; restored by Heale; dimensions 67.0, 29.0/-/36.0, -, 69.3. “Although this is probably not made by Norman it is of the same age and possibly made as the work of Norman.” Restored 1979 by Michael Heale (new neck, head, fittings); also copied after MAB’s purchase. Name scratched into table, bass side, above center bout, written sideways: G. R. Gowans. Table ornament Type VIII, back center Type III, above and below Type IIa.
