Comments:

Bridge by Wurlitzer. Tourin: modern neck. Maker identification confirmed by Hellwig on visit to Yale. Otterstedt only saw photos; appears to have been much altered (made smaller). 2-piece back and ribs probably birch; her dimensions (from museum?) -. -/-/30.0, 10.2, 51.2. Cf. Karpp tenor in Vermillion, also with C-holes. Black-and-white fingerboard and tailpiece, former with all-black extension. Tailgut. (Steinert 1893: Discant; shown with 4 strings, but described as having 5)
