Not in Lachmann’s 1950 catalogue; acquired by him later? Museum dimensions 67.6, 32.3/22.5/39.0, 11.9, 65.3. In playable condition when seen. Repair label: “Restored by Hans Benning / and Paul Toenniges 1969”. Christie’s: “Ascribed to Matteo Goffriller but possibly [by] Valentino Siani”; length of back 66; treble C-hole more diagonal than bass. (Tourin date 1698, probably a typo.)
