2-piece table, 2-piece back. Peg nearest nut is for top rather than bottom string. Bass bar and 3 back braces restored in Japan, 1977. Fingerboard unusually wide for a treble, and string length much longer than body. Authorship questionable, because Maldoner lived 1739-1809, and by his adulthood few if any viols would have been made.
