Hellwig 2011, TieWV 104; Hellwig 1980, no. 091. 2-piece table with sickle-shaped soundholes, ivory edging, and double purfling; back (arched and bent) with ivory edging and narrow single purfling. Pegbox with open-carved back; inlaid fingerboard and tailpiece (tortoiseshell veneer with ivory inlay except in upper half of FB); neck and fingerboard have been narrowed, then widened with strips of bird’s-eye maple; tailpiece has been shortened at bottom end. Many repairs to back and ribs; back outline altered, though table not; neck improperly restored. Dimensions 63.4, 28.7/21.4/36.0, 12.2, -. Hellwig 2011 adds: 2-piece back. Back widths 28.9/21.2/35.9, front with calipers 28.7/20.8/25.8.
