Hellwig 2011, TieWV 053; Hellwig 1980, no. 048. 2-piece table with ebony/ivory edging, double purfling, and rosette; 2-piece back (flat with fold). Peg for top string is closest to nut; inlaid fingerboard (ebony on ivory veneer), but matching tailpiece not original. Varnish in bad shape (bumpy). No. 1337 in auction of Hammer Collection, 1893; bought there by F. Chrysander for Hamburg museum. Dimensions 64.0, 29.3/21.3/35.8, 11.8, -. Hellwig 2011 adds: rosette, tailpiece, bottom block, back braces, and pegs from repair by Carl Schulze, Berlin, 1895/96; bassbar presumably original. Back widths 29.0/21.4/35.6; front with calipers 28.9/21.2/35.6. Minor repairs 1974 by G. Hellwig.
