Very odd body shape with square shoulders, vertical F-holes set far from edges; back flat, not folded; ribs very deep. Back of pegbox has relief carving in thin central strip (going up over top), with grooves on either side. Tourin and museum classify as a violone. Perhaps made, as well as owned, by Franciolini. Website string length 76.0-78.0.
