Comments:
Museum to TGM, 4/04: modern replica, 19th/20th century (website/MIMO: “maker not specified”); but in 4/23: no source in their files for this information, but documentation that Fryklund bought it in Paris in 1923, perhaps from “J. Tournier” whose name is stamped on the bridge. (Joseph Alexis Tournier d. 1920 but business continued by son Henri and grandson Claude.) Striped back (3 dark, 2 light) but not ribs; odd-looking head (possibly a damaged, oversized open scroll?). Dendrochronology by Peter Ratcliff (2023) gives 1735 for latest year ring, in contrast to 1659 for DHV 1582, also labeled “Henri Jaie”.
