Comments:

Tourin: 3-piece table with painted double purfling (also on back), very high arching and lots of recurve. Head grafted to pegbox; neck probably orginal but narrowed. Fingerboard of bone or horn, with geometric patterns in wood and ivory; black tailpiece has only thin white edging. Dimensions 64.6, 28.8/21.0/37.0, 13.4, 67.0 [very different from museum’s]. Photos: fingerboard decoration is three rows of chevrons (pointing up); diagonals also at rib-neck joints; 2-piece back; carving on back of pegbox. Hellwig 2011, TieWV 110 (misidentified as M427): lion head (only) by Tielke.
