Comments:
In poor condition, “impossible to repair”. Nilsson describes both as “cello in the model of a viola da gamba” and also as “a cross between a gamba and a cello”. Pointed corners plus 1 dimple each side on shoulders and lower bouts. (If neck and pegbox original, perhaps best considered a cello with a festooned body outline.) Brown-and-white edging to table, also to fingerboard and tailpiece. Wooden endpin. Many visible wormholes in pegbox and upper neck.
