Comments:
Striped back (9 stripes) and ribs, the light pieces of bird’s-eye maple; black-and-white edging of table; open-carved back of pegbox, carving at neck heel. Drawing by Felix Wolf (1976), who restored it, available from museum. Peg nearest nut is for top rather than bottom string. König: maker had studied French instruments.
