Comments:
Sloping shoulders, very pointed corners, arched back, overhanging edges. Back of pegbox carved, but sides plain with medial points; 2 pegs treble, 3 bass side. Restored in 1958 by Jörn Erichson, Nacka: new neck (keeping old scroll) with ebony fingerboard and tailpiece, replacing an early violin neck with short fingerboard; also new 5th peg and bridge. Back has painted purfling; “button” restored to faceted rather than rounded shape. String length 30.0-33.5. Previous repair label “Reparerad 1939 av P.J.O_ng”. Tourin: typical quinton shape; seems completely original; dimensions 36.0, 17.3/11.9/21.5, 4.0, 32.8. Website string length 30.0-33.5.
