Comments:
Strong arching, inked purfling, faceted neck heel. Snoeck: “dessus de viole. 1755”. Lütgendorff also gives date as 1755; Sachs says this is wrong [3rd digit is 3]; no other Desrousseaux dated 1735 (or 1755) currently known. Lütgendorff calls it a “fünfsaitige Bratsche”. Photo in Snoeck identified as 465 may not be this instrument, as it appears to show 6 strings. Lost since World War II.
