1-piece back, table also apparently 1-piece, with rosette (and large patch outboard of bass soundhole); some remnants of purfling now at or beyond edge of table; none on back. Marked “EB” on neck heel. Scroll and pegbox with fluted back appear integral with cello neck, set at angle but fingerboard (stained black) is wedge-shaped as well; tailpiece still attaches to a hookbar.
