Comments:
Head very similar to all Guersans at Paris Conservatoire; same hand visible on their Barbey pardessus, Gavinies treble, and Fleury bass. Double purfling. Tailpiece and bridge not original. No longer in the museum’s collection per website and Gétreau 1996, p. 400 (where date is given as 1750); but see Gétreau 1988, p. 134. (A typed 1976 inventory sent to Tourin also gave date as 1750 and marked this instrument among several no longer in the collection.)
