Arched back, overhanging edges; double purfling on table and back; 3 pegs treble, 2 bass side. Museum’s website: anon., France, 18e s. (“Genre Augustin Chappuy”) (P. Jacquier to P. Tourin, 9/79: “non signé mais sans doute de Chappuy.”) Repaired in 1964 by G. Dupuy: new pegs and tailpiece (Gétreau 1996, p. 464). (Augustin Chappuy died in 1784.)
