Hellwig 2011, TieWV 152; Hellwig 1980, no. 124. 2-piece table with no purfling; 2-piece back (arched). Converted to a cello; neck narrowed, fingerboard and tailpiece not original, hookbar removed. Table in poor condition (cracks and varnish damage); pegbox damaged by drilling holes for cello pegs. Owned by Thommessen since 1957; in 1904, listed as No. 166 in catalogue of Norsk Folkemuseum (provenance Mrs. T. Nathan Bjerke). Hellwig 2011 adds: [1st example of] woman’s head in late style; dimensions identical to Hellwig 1980.
