Martius & Schulze 1991 dimensions 107.5, 62.3, 30.0/20.9/35.3, 11.9, 62.5; rebuilt in 18C, maybe as cello; current condition from 20C rebuild; head perhaps by Stadlmann. Van der Meer 3/1982: vielleicht Süddeutschland, 17. Jh.; umgebaut von M I Stadlmann. König 1985: back and ribs of bird’s-eye maple. Martius 1999: table has geometric ornaments in corners and dimples; dendrochronology dendrochronology gives date of 1626 for youngest growth ring on table (also in Klein 2003). Museum’s website (5/2003) lists as anonymous, i.e. neither by Busch nor by Stadlmann. Tourin: double purfling on table, single on back.
