One-piece table with double purfling and ornaments at corners and dimples. Ribs and two-piece back of Hungarian ash; single purfling with ornaments at top, middle, and bottom of back and at (six) corners. [Tourin: double purfling on front (plus 6 patterns), single on back (plus 9 patterns).] Neck of damson (“Zwetschge”). Fingerboard and tailpiece from pre-1981 restoration. Dendrochronology gives date of 1643 for youngest growth ring on table (also in Klein 2003). Tourin dimensions: 96.5, 49.3, 25.2/17.0/28.7, 10.7, 55.5
