Comments:
Dimensions from König, who calls it a “Diskant-Gambe”, as does Wild; Hellriegel: “Viola pomposa”; Köpp 2000: viola d’amore (narrow neck with rounded profile; late date unlikely for treble viol). Similar to MARK 1 by Goldberg. 2 pegs treble, 3 bass side. Illustrated on a stamp issued in 1977 by East Germany: ”Diskant-Gambe (1747)”!
