Comments:

Body has English-style floral decoration, carved pegbox and neck heel, and double purfling; long, thin soundholes. Tourin: body looks English; if Norman, must be very early; neck with head “looks as if maker has seen Tielke viols.” Torres: decoration and dimensions suggest Meares or Norman. Website lists as provenance unknown, possibly Keil collection (like several others)
