Comments:
Back and ribs of bird’s-eye maple. Rosette. H. Harders: 1-piece back with double purfling and ornament at bottom, ribs also ornamented, 5-piece table with 2 wings and double purfling; original neck with remains of original fingerboard under a new one; dimensions 33.1, 15.6/11.0/18.9, -, - (widths taken on back). Pegbox and head similar to Kessler’s 1619 bass, back similar to Coin’s 1621 bass. (Kinsky 1912: seemingly French from 1H18C.) (Jaye probably died in 1636, per Fleming 2016.)
