Repair label: “Reparirt von J.H. Cattus / Hoffmusicus in Cassel / den 4ten octo: 1828”. Back and ribs of bird’s-eye maple, richly inlaid. Rosette. Had been converted to a cello: neck, fingerboard, and tailpiece are replacements (latter two have ends cut on opposite diagonals). Lost since World War II.
