Comments:

Hellwig 2011, TieWV 092; Hellwig 1980, no. 082. Lost since World War II (probably stolen from nearby Schloß Dölkau); all info from Kinsky 1912. Converted to a cello; reconverted in 1894 by Gustav Siefert, Leipzig. Table with double purfling, 2-piece back (flat with fold); upper part of body not original, dating from cello conversion. Pegbox original, with open-carved ivory plate on back; new neck, fingerboard, and tailpiece, modelled on museum’s no. 813. Hellwig 2011 adds: upper bouts drastically lengthened (by Seifert in 1894); fingerboard inlaid with tortoiseshell on ivory, reverse-color counterpart to TieWV 89, thus original, but tailpiece not. Fontana 2022: cello conversion probably done in Italy in 2nd half of 19th century.
