Sympathetic strings (only 5 now; originally 7?). Gilt head. 4 pegs treble, 3 bass side. Klaus: 2-piece table and back; overhanging edges. Küllmer: viola bastarda, French, early 18th C.; her dimensions 84, 38/27/50, 15.5, 78. Sympathetic string length also 78, and distance from bridge to bottom saddle 39; hitchpins just inside pegbox, above nut. Tourin: neck and pegbox not original? Tourin dimensions 84.5, 37.8/27.0/50.5, 16.4, 77.0-80.0.
