Comments:
Not in Senn & Roy 1986. De Wit: “Viola di Gamba (Alt),” converted to a cello, “höchst wahrscheinlich” by Stainer, whose typical F-holes and other characteristics it displays. (TGM: with a total length of 96 cm, too small to be a bass, but no other Stainer tenors known, so perhaps better described as Stainer School?) Lost since World War II.
