Comments:
Martius & Schulze 1991 dimensions 97.5, 51.0, 25.5/18.0/29.5, 11.6, 55.0. (Tourin dimensions: 96.0, 51.2, 26.2/18.5/30.4, 12.5, 55.5? (“rough”); Young: body widths 26.0/17.8/30.0.) 2-piece table and back, both with double purfling. Label damaged at end of date. Hammerich: “Diskant-Viola da gamba” but suggests A-tenor tuning; fingerboard of light-colored wood with ivory and inlaid dots of mother of pearl. Repaired by E. Hjorth, Kopenhagen, 1900. Martius & Schulze 1991: date of 1617 given in museum catalogue untenable; label is damaged there. Tailgut and mother of pearl dots not original. (Busch active from 1622; died in 1648.)
