Comments:
Scroll has flat side surfaces (no ears). Tourin: neck and pegbox probably not original; in very poor condition. 2-piece table with single purfling, 1-piece back with none. French? Hammerich: “Diskant-Viola, Dessus de viole” but gives high G tuning; “aus Flandern, 17-18 Jh.”. König: definitely a pardessus (SL 29.5); more likely made in Paris or Mirecourt; identical model (“ein genau gleiches Modell”) at Metropolitan Museum (probably meaning 89.4.949, but that has 5 strings and very different C-holes, also a carved head.)
