Restored by Michael Heale 1976-77: new neck, pegbox, and scroll (copied from a BN of 1700); new fingerboard, tailpiece, and pegs, also replacement of not-completely-original ribs of bottom bouts. Oldest one known to Heale (as of 1979). 3-piece table, 2-piece back, both with double purfling; table ornament Type I, back center Type I, upper and lower Type Ia. Fingerboard and tailpiece blond, with inlaid trefoils at bridge ends; FB also has ornament mid-length; pegs blond with white collars and pips. Bridge by Monical; his appraisal gives dimensions 66.0, 29.7/22.2/35.9, 12.3, 70.0. Hebbert dimensions 65.7, 30.2/-/36.0, 12.1, 69.2 (from Heale? pre-restoration?). Repairs and new fingerboard by A. Dipper, 2021.
