Comments:
Tourin: flame holes with circle at bottom; big round rose carved into wood; high but smooth arching with some recurve in middle bouts; light and dark striped wood border. Cello-like neck butted onto body, with no Vorstand; long pegbox and man’s bearded head; tailgut and endpin. String length 70.0-71.0 (estimate?). “Looks pretty new, might be modern”. Photo: dimple (inside corner) in each lower bout, normal upper corners, upper bout as double S-curve with no actual dimple; sculpted tailpiece does not match fingerboard; no frets visible. A. Fagerlund to TGM 4/18: 5-piece table with high arching, herringbone edging, and a too-large rosette of simple style; back with darker varnish than table and ribs. Possibly old but cut down, since edges are in suspiciously good condition and ribs lack patina; visible wear on fingerboard from playing. Dimensions 78.5, 36.0/24.0/46.5, -, - (string length ± 70.5)
