Pegbox and head not original. Exhibited in Vienna, 1892. Hopfner & Seipel: 2-piece table, back and ribs of bird’s-eye maple; overhanging edges. Neck, fingerboard, and tailpiece not original; lion’s head probably 19th-century. Youngest year-ring in table dated 1625; both halves from same tree. Soundpost plate is original; bass bar is not. Dimensions: 71.0, 31.1/20.5 [sic]/40.8, 13.2, -.
