Heider & Haeufler 1850: “Eine alte Gamba. Inwendig: “Jacob Precheisen, Hof Lauten und Geigenmacher in Wien 1670.” (At that time, Stift Herzogenburg also owned the Magnus Felden 1656 baryton.) Harnoncourt 2017: the first viol he bought, having found it in pieces in an attic of Herzogenburg monastery in 1951, almost completely unglued and very dirty; restored by Josef Krenn (Vienna), 1951-52.
