Comments:
Not in Senn & Roy 1986. JVdGSA: “made in 1680 by Jacob Stainer or one of his pupils”; lion is original; restored by Eugen Sprenger; measurements in inches (equivalent to 69.2, 31.75/-/40.95, 14.3, 67.95). Tourin appraisal 12/82: Tyrolean, c. 1710; neck, pegbox, fingerboard and tailpiece not original; fittings apparently by E. Sprenger Sr.; mainbrace & soundpost patch by Tourin Musica; body now 10-15 mm shorter than originally; 2 wings in lower bout of back; dimensions 68.9, 31.9/23.5/41.1, 14.0, 68.0.
