Tourin: English-style table ornament; evidence of repairs all around belly; very sunken in middle. Relief-carved oval ornament on back. Cello conversion. Label read as “Jacobus Heinrich Goldt / fecit Hamburg 1730”. Hellwig 2011: carved ornament glued to top of back similar to those on two Tielke viols, but less carefully executed. Perimeter purfling largely removed, for unknown reasons.
