Comments:
Restored by Michael Heale, including inlaid fingerboard and tailpiece, new edges to upper bouts. Had 5 strings when purchased; Francais thought it was French. Caldwells formerly believed it was by J.C. Hoffmann, based on similarity to Halle 224; but both attributions now abandoned. Soundholes have no curve at upper ends. Tourin: odd C-holes; dimensions 69.0, 30.5/22.5/37.5, 12.5, 71.0. Caldwell 2012: head and pegbox are origina; dimensions 69.0, 30.4/21.7/37.0, 12.4, 71.0.
