Striped back (9-piece, 5 light + 4 dark) and ribs (3-piece, 3 light + 1 dark). Unique spelling of surname on label. Initial restoration by Paul Reichlin (new neck, minor body work; Caldwells have previous neck and head, by N. Dolmetsch). Since 1992, re-restored by Petr Vavrous (Prague), including a new head. Black-and-white edging on fingerboard and tailpiece. Tourin/JVdGSA dimensions: 130.0, 73.0, 31.8/22.8/41.6, 13.8, 70.0; originally 6 strings? Caldwell 2012: back stripes are fruitwood (plum?) and maple; dimensions 72.7, 32.4/22.9/41.4, 13.1, 70.7.
