All original except bridge, soundpost, and one peg. Neck is thin and fingerboard wide. Double inked purfling on table, also inked rosette and quarter-circle decorations at each corner; no decoration on back. Restored (and later copied) by Michael Heale, 1979. Long string length for a French treble, implied by painted marks on back of neck for fret placement. Lower eyes of C-holes completely below lower body corners.
