Comments:
Formerly converted to violin. Arched back. Mahillon: dessus ou quinton; Raspé: quinton, French, early 18th C.; both say varnish suggests French origin. 3 pegs treble, 2 bass side. Museum’s website: table with double purfling, neck probably narrowed and rounded, tailgut, LaFille-style pegbox but perhaps 19C; string length ± 31.5; date 1730/1790.
