Comments:
1-piece back, table with long and narrow C-holes. Open-back pegbox with La Fille-style decoration on edges and 2 pegs treble, 3 bass side. Neck original, fingerboard ebony, tailpiece only veneered, tailgut (metal). Overhanging edges and pointed body corners, but flat back with fold, and ribs too deep to be a quinton. Restored to playing condition by R. Osenbrunner, with later work by F. Lindeman in 2004. Subsequently on loan to Antoinette Lohmann (violinist), then Josh Cheatham (gambist).
