Neck not original; head in the style of Tielke, but not by him; elaborately carved pegbox with no grafts, so probably all made at the same time (perhaps early 20th C?). Evidence of multiple restorations, starting long ago, but no sign it was ever converted to a cello, though pegbox and neck are rather narrow. Lower eyes of F-holes unusually far below body corners.
