Restored by John Topham c. 2007 from a viola conversion: rib depth doubled, replacement rose, new neck, pegbox, fingerboard, tailpiece, etc.; carved head may be original. 6-string set-up is hypothetical but likely, based on the early date. Double purfling on table, none on back, whose flame pattern is markedly chevron-shaped, descending from the center joint.
