Comments:

New neck and pegbox for 7 strings by Ingo Muthesius, 1960; new fingerboard, tailpiece and bridge by Claus Derenbach, 2008; lion’s head is original, as are 6 pegs. Double purfling front and back; back and ribs are fruitwood (apple or pear), except middle-bout ribs which are different, perhaps nut wood. Table has very fine grain and shallow arching. C-holes very curved and set diagonally. (Per Schreil 2019, restoration by I. Muthesius was in 1953.)
