Per www.rimab.ch (Thilo Hirsch), label is hard to read but does not resemble other labels or signatures of Ventura Linarolo (the son of Francesco) and is probably a forgery; in any case, the first word looks more like Linarolli or Linrelli. [Query: 2nd word sic or perhaps Filius?] Instrument itself lacks features suggesting it has anything to do with Linarol, Italy, or the 16th century. 2 pegs treble, 3 bass side.
