Arched back, overhanging edges. Converted from a quinton d’amour to a violon d’amour, with smaller pegbox and rounded shoulders. La Fille-style carving of pegbox, the top portion of which is open in back. Body length on back. Sotheby’s: decorated pegbox terminating in a scroll with carved floral eyes. Bowed strings originally ran to 3 pegs bass, 2 treble side.
