Comments:

3-piece table with inked purfling and white paint around C-holes; ribs have inked rectangular frames (2 sets each section), and back has 4 concentric but widely spaced outlines of “purfling,” all “engraved and not inlaid” per J. Kraft. Original fingerboard and tailpiece are highly decorated using gold paint and jewels (some now missing), also used on front edge of pegbox and as pips on pegs; neck is painted black and female head in multiple colors. Dimensions from drawing, so not over arching. Per J. Kraft, probably 17th C, made in Bordeaux.
