Comments:
TGM 9/04: Soundholes have lower eyes only (larger than HAGUE 21, smaller than Kessler/Ryan). Head old but not necessarily original; neck new, angled back. Double purfling front and back, the two tracks very close together. Table assumed to be 2-piece, with recurve at edges; back slab-cut with extensive worm damage. Back has crossbars above and below soundpost plate, with “extensions” partway up the ribs. No corner blocks, and back linings cloth except cleats in center bout. F. Beaulieu 10/16 adds: table 2-piece with wide grain and dark brown varnish, in good condition, but back and ribs have many cracks and extensive unrepaired worm damage. Interior construction still very original. Old cello-style scroll, quite narrow; core of pegbox also old, with purfling on back and carving on front edges, but cheeks doubled on outside surfaces, so unclear if head and pegbox belong together. His dimensions differ slightly.
