2-piece back (NB, not striped) of dark wood, not flamed, with black (painted?) line along middle, crossing purfling at top and bottom. Single purfling front and back. Scroll barely open, with narrow relief-carved line of chevron-like leaves. 2 pegs treble, 3 bass side.
