Comments:
Soundholes are backwards Cs; shallow ribs; geometric decoration at top of back, not unlike Joannes Marcus, though body outlines differ. Fagerlund: 1-piece arched back, ribs have purfling along joints to both table and back; tailpiece originally with 7 holes, tailgut. Well built by a skilled maker but most likely in 19th C, as museum acknowledges. Possibly based on “Antonius Bononiensis” bass in Bologna, DHV 124.
