3-piece table with double BWB purfling and floral ornament whose upper half resembles DOLM 5 (Miller), FOLGER 1 (Miller) and BAINE 5 (Pitts); 2-piece back with single purfling (separate outlines above and below fold). Head, neck, fingerboard, and tailpiece by Dolmetsch; pegs and bridge also modern, and probably top and bottom blocks. Crossbars on back both above and below soundpost plate, perhaps old. Length of back 68.7, with wooden reinforcement (probably modern) at centerline and fold; also wooden corner blocks and perimeter linings. Cost £75 in 1946. (Sussex 2002: part of label appears to have been cut off.)
